some history of Richard Davis S
    r
My father is 73 years old .... Collects Classic and Muscle Cars
( He still has his the original  Corvette 1964 Fuelly he bought 54 years ago )
Over the years ( Mid 60/s until today ) he has owned at least
TWO DOZEN Chevrolet Corvette Rochester Fuel Injection Units
including one very special PONTIAC Rochester Fuel Injection.
In my fathers warehouse he still has the "mold-body" for an
adapter he made to BOLT ON 48 MM Webers to the Corvette Rochester FI Intake
He then owned a Moon-McKay side-draft Weber setup and he
marketed ( sold) approx 10 of the Weber downdraft kits in the 70/s
using the Rochester FI Intake along with his Weber adapters .
The concept was near identical to what Kinsler made to bolt on Port Injectors.
End of the trivia section .

The below is a COPY / PASTE from Futo and Son
a company that specializes in Rochester Fuel injections .
    Dual Air Meter Units
Bill Thomas Race Cars in the 1960’s led the way on light 1800 pound fiberglass race cars with a Corvette drive train. They were probably the most successful at engineering and building dual air meter Rochester fuel injection units that actually ran well.
Typically his units were built with 1963 and 1964 base units. The top plenum lid was discarded and replaced with a machined aluminum base plate. Two like air meters were added without choke housing assemblies.
The below is a COPY / PASTE from the Bill Thomas site
The Cheetah was meant to be Cobra-killer. It was Corvette powered, with a custom-designed chassis and suspension. There has never been another car like it. Unfortunately, the Cheetah never made production. In 1964 Chevrolet sent a letter to Bill Thomas informing him that Chevrolet was withdrawing all support for the Cheetah project. Chevrolet’s withdrawal of support is what ended development. This also meant that no guidance on how to build the required 100 cars. Also a larger facility was needed to get the Cheetah into production and set up a dealer network. The last documented Bill Thomas produced Cheetah was ordered in the fall of 1965 and delivered in April 1966.
We can document that 11 cars were completed. All the Bill Thomas Cheetahs were delivered with drum brakes and Fuel Injection. The loan exception was the Alan Green Chevrolet race car. It used cross ram Weber carburetors. The Webers were replaced in the summer of 1964 with a dual air meter fuel injection system based on the 1963/64 Corvette Fuel Injection produced by Rochester Products and modified by Bill Thomas. Any number beyond 11 Cheetahs is speculation and wishful thinking. At least 8 cars survive.
