    Description

Letter from Pvt. Alma Dean to his parents from the hospital, dated Jan 4, 1919. Official American Red Cross stationery. "On Active Service with the American Expeditionary Force." He mentions the town of Quincy and the county of Gadsden, so I believe he is from Quincy, Florida. If so, he was a cook in the army and is buried in Jacksonville, Florida. A nice piece of ephemera for Red Cross, or WWI collectors.
