    Description

    REVOX 760 tuner Working
    REQUIRES TUNEUP Sold AS IS.
PLEASE READ BELOW DISCLOSURE AND DESCRIPTION:
For your Consideration REVOX B760 TUNER SOLD IN “ AS IS “ Condition . NO RETURNS. All Known Issues will be disclosed to the best of my knowledge. Due to age and sensibility/fragility during shipping No warranties implied.
    Description:
    Unit powers on
All Digits on display, all segments work
All keys, knobs, switches work, all potentiometers, all outputs RCA Fixed and Variable,Headset outputs work.
    Tuning function up/down is normal.
Both antenna inputs checked normal 75 and 300 Ohms
Muting adjustments, Stereo Mono decoding works with proper indication. All Memory banks work for stored frequencies.
What is not working and or requires service:
Signal Meter not working (or signal too weak) Tuning gauge works.
All logic functions and Stereo FM demodulator work
    Audio outputs works
    All Bulbs, lamps, indicators work
    All toggle switches intact
Receiver displays the following observed flaws:
    LOW Signal sensitivity
LOW or NO Antenna Signal Display. Signal Meter not working (or signal too weak)
Possible intermittent situation in unit cutting all reception ( vibration or knock on case fixes it)
    My interpretation:
Requires RF-section re-calibration. ( Front End) Reseating of circuit boards, connectors or connections
All logic functions and Stereo FM demodulator work
Audio outputs work( fixed and variable, headset).
    Packaging

UPDATE: PLEASE READ THIS. NEW FINDINGS
We initially diagnosed Low Sensitivity as indicated on Signal Strenght Gauge. We now discovered (by shinning flashlight on gauge) that gauge is stuck permanently in one position (level 2 of signal strenght) In other words a mechanical failure of the gauge, since it does not move when unit is powered on or off.
To the sensitivity issue. Appears normal and able to pull in very distant stations but what still remains is the possibility of an intermittent issue affecting sensitivity. As indicated earlier a knock on the case seems to fix the problem, clearly indicating a connection issue somewhere in the front-end prior to the tuning circuit.
