    Description

    You are bidding on a very scarce 1917 United States Legal Tender "SHORT SNORTER".  The sticker on the holder indicated that it was a WW1 era "SHORT SNORTER"  but I am not sure this is accurate.  My understanding is that the short snorter originated in 1925 with the Alaskan Bush Flyers during the Serum runs to Nome to combat diphtheria and then became popular with military personal especially during WW2.  On this particular note most of the signatures appear to be females but on the back of the note I recognize Maj. Bill Walsh, Capt. Lustig, and Roger Johnson.   Please look carefully at the scans as they are of the exact item that you will receive.
